Hubie The Christmas Elf
- A Fable For The Holidays

Bonjour mes amies and welcome to Day 4 of our Christmas Countdown. Hubie The Christmas ElfToday's entry is a Christmas Story I wrote just for you.

Okay, I really wrote this a while back, as part of a book my friend Bob and I decided we'd do, a book of fables with no specific theme, seasonal or otherwise, except that they (the fables) should be fairly short and fairly stupid. The goal was to alternate sending each other a story each week, both as a simple exercise in forcing ourselves to write -- we're both pretty lazy if left to our own devices -- plus perhaps even come up with a publishable work.

Anyway, you may be familiar with the old saw about the best laid plans o'mice and men et cetera, and I think we got down maybe a dozen "fables" before we got bored and our email interchanges devolved into movie reviews and tasteless jokes, preferably involving bodily functions and preferably at each other's expense. Not that I'm complaining, that's worked for us for thirty years or so, so far, why change a good thing.

Anyway anyway, I did come up with a seasonal story that was a bit raunchier than the story I'm sharing today, I edited it a bit for spelling, grammar, and some small degree of taste. So it is, in a way, a story I wrote just for you, after all. But don't get your hopes up.

If you're still with me, Click here to read the tale of Hubie The Christmas Elf!

You never fail to brighten up my day! You can come by and wash down our Tree too if you like.
